January – Draw closer to God

1. Read the Bible every day.

01/31/08: current on Bible reading

2. Have a daily prayer time.

01/31/08: combined this with Bible reading

3. Work on scripture memorization.

01/31/08: have picked verses, now need to put them where I will see them each day

02/29/08: done – I see them throughout the day, now need to update with new verses as they are memorized

4. Find a Bible study (to complete this year).

01/31/08: will do Beth Moore’s Living Beyond Yourself and Jen Hatmaker’s A Modern Girl’s Guide to Bible Study

5. Keep a prayer journal.

01/31/08: have made and organized a journal, now just need to write in it!

February – Work on financial fitness

6. Determine financial goals for 2008.

7. Determine monthly budget.

8. Read a new financial book.

01/31/08: have read Your Money or Your Life, am re-reading The Total Money Makeover, and will read Smart Couples Finish Rich

9. Research new financial blogs/magazines.

March – Focus on marriage

10. Read a new marriage book.

03/31/08: read The Five Love Languages – will reread, good stuff!

11. Think of small treats/courtesies.

03/31/08:  still thinking, The Five Love Languages had tons of ideas!

12. Count to 10 before I get snippy.

03/31/08:  harder than I thought, will keep trying – we’ve done a couple, now need to make it routine

April – Focus on parenting

14. Read a new parenting book.

October – Focus on time management

45. Each evening, prep for the next day.

November – Focus on thankfulness

48. List 100 things I am thankful for.

49. Turn complaints into thankfulness.

50. Send thank you cards for Thanksgiving.

51. Special thank you’s for hubby and kids.

December – Focus on giving

52. Sponsor another child with GFA.

53. Research family volunteering options.

54. Sponsor a child for Christmas.

55. Send a care package to a soldier.

56. Set up next year’s tithing schedule.
